Seeking experienced Operational Risk Consultant to join the Control Framework team, under the Technology Control Risk Management organization, in the first line of defense.

The Control Framework team will co-own the design of controls across Wells Fargo Technology together with the process and control owners. The team will also implement processes to drive effective design and performance across all technology controls, and drive control engineering and automation.

The Control Framework team will be responsible for the following:
  • Control Architecture
  • Control Design
  • Control Quality Assurance, validation and certification
  • Process Risk and Control Effectiveness and Monitoring
  • Governance and Reporting on overall Control Environment
  • Control Framework Policy design and execution oversight
  • Control execution (ad-hoc, non-standard compensating controls until control gaps are addressed strategically)
The successful candidate will have hands on first line/front line technology risk management experience, in 1 or more responsibilities listed above, and subject matter expertise to at least 1 or more technology domain / process below, such as (and not limited to):
  • Architecture management
  • Access Management
  • Service Level / Availability Management
  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning
  • Event Management
  • Supplier / Vendor Management
  • Service Asset and Configuration Management
  • Software Development Lifecycle Management
  • Application Lifecycle Management
  • IT Operations
  • Change and Release Management
  • Incident and Problem Management
  • Data Management (ie. retention, backup, transmission, privacy, security)
Required Qualifications

5+ years of Technology Risk Management experience
10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other risk management discipline certification
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years of audit/IT experience, including demonstrated interaction with Senior Level technology leaders
  • Experience with assessing the adequacy of policies, procedures, processes, and compliance and operational controls in a significantly large and complex organization.
  • Prior experience with tracking, monitoring and implementing corrective actions or information security exceptions for Compliance/Operational Risk
  • Knowledge and experience with technology-related regulatory requirements and frameworks including FFIEC,COBIT, COSO, NIST, ITIL
5+ years Technology Risk management experience in a specific technology domain or process, such as (and not limited to):
  • Architecture management
  • Access Management
  • Service Level / Availability Management
  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning
  • Event Management
  • Supplier / Vendor Management
  • Service Asset and Configuration Management
  • Software Development Lifecycle Management

Job Expectations

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
