Demand Generation: Together with the Offering Manager, responsible for generating the number of leads required to achieve the annual revenue goals for assigned products. Conceptualize, develop and execute marketing programs that generate demand for BendixKing products. These programs might include advertising, trade shows, webinars, speaking engagements, dealer presentations, direct email campaigns and any other tactics, either on a standalone basis or in combination, to generate leads that ultimately convert to sales. This includes personally authoring the emails, presentations, or speeches that are part of those programs.
Sales Enablement: Conceptualize, develop and deliver training presentations, written sales training materials and sales tools that explain our products, which customers are targets for them, how to sell it to them - including concrete value propositions, how to address objections. Develop competitive strategies and playbooks. Directly contribute to the continuing education and training of the sales force through the development and execution of various field training programs.
Online Forums and Social Media: Responsible to manage and directly interact on the pilot online forums such as BeechTalk and Pilots of America. Responsible to work with our social media resources to engage with BendixKing constituents.
Messaging and Positioning: Develop messaging, positioning and unique selling propositions for BendixKing offerings, targeted to both our dealer channel and consumer and business aircraft owners and operators, to communicate the value and benefits of our offerings and differentiate our offerings from our competition.
Market Understanding: Proactively identify and integrate consumer lifestyle trends prevalent among consumer pilots and owners, business trends relevant to aircraft charter operators and corporate flight departments, and governmental regulatory requirements into our marketing activities to drive increased sales.
Product Understanding: Learn BendixKing products to the level of being a "power user" of those products. Use this and market knowledge to develop and deliver effective marketing programs.
Dealer Sales Enablement: Conceptualize, develop and deliver the sales tools and other materials that enable our dealers to effectively sell our products to their customers.
Competitive analysis and response: Analyze our competitors business', product and sales/marketing strategies and develop effective counter-strategies that enable our salespeople to win deals.
Marketing Content: Conceptualize, develop and deliver all product marketing output including: engaging and persuasive content, web site copy, sales decks, product demos, sales tools, marketing collateral, brochures, data sheets, other collateral, case studies, webinars, YouTube demos and product tutorials, sales training materials, blog and social entries, and any other required content. You will personally develop, write and record the content. Must be able to identify different customer types and develop content tailored for each.
Product launches: Plan and implement the strategy for new product launches, collaborating with sales, product management, customer support, marketing communications and others to ensure well-coordinated execution and measure success. Work with product managers, manager of marketing communications and manager of trade shows and events. Launches will be effective in getting the word out to press, dealers, customers and prospects.
Search Engine Optimization and Marketing, Other Digital Marketing: Work with our SEO analyst to properly optimize our website for search engine, and then takes it from there to implement other programs to boost our search engine ranking - such as developing and executing a dealer program that ensures all of our dealers backlink to our website, that product review articles backlink to our relevant product web pages, etc. Work with our SEO analyst and marketing manager to implement Google AdWords campaigns that generate leads.
Sales/marketing Funnel: Construct, manage and report on the sales/marketing pipeline, including MQLs, SALs, SQLs, conversion ratios, and win/loss ratios. Funnel is end-to-end from marketing activity to lead to qualified prospect to closed won.
Public Speaking: Deliver compelling presentations to small & large groups about our products & solutions
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
Holds student or private Pilot License
MBA in marketing
Professional continuing education in communications, marketing and related fields
2 or more years of experience in core product marketing roles
Experience with consumer electronic products, such as aircraft avionics or personal electronics is highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Good knowledge in Salesforce.com and developing custom reports
Good knowledge in Google Analytics and related tools
Excellent written and spoken English, with impeccable grammar and spelling
Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to develop professional-looking PowerPoint slides
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in each of the responsibilities identified above
Able to translate technical concepts into layman's terms, must be able to extrapolate the customer benefits of various features and functions and articulate them in compelling oral and written communications
Self-starter - type of individual who can start and execute without being asked by others. Able to identify and implement solutions despite high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty
Quick learner and must be able to respond to a variety of sales and marketing inquiries with tight deadlines
Ability to easily interact with a demanding group of sales and marketing team members, appropriately juggling requests from different individuals
Clarity of thinking - able to think clearly and directly
