The Regional Account Manager will report to the Director of Sales. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for growing sales within the assigned territory by developing new business as well as maintaining current customer account base. Target markets are potable water and wastewater treatment applications for both municipal and industrial markets, in addition to emerging opportunities in municipal, food, beverage, mining, energy, chemical, and petrochemical applications.
Responsible for communicating to sales management and/or corporate sales & marketing all field intelligence, competitive trends and most current information regarding field sales projects and sales opportunities.
A working knowledge of water treatment in municipal, industrial, chemical, and petrochemical industries is preferred.
Ability to work within all levels of a customer organization, including but not limited to Executive Directors, Purchasing Managers, Plant Managers and Superintendents, and Plant Operations.
Responsibilities include supporting the commercialization and penetration of technologies to the food, industrial, energy, and petrochemical markets.
Perform field related work such as audits, trials, jar tests, and conduct calibrations or minor repairs to feed equipment and control equipment owned by Carus.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, Biology or Environmental Field).
4+ years of experience in technical sales.
Counselor Salesperson (CSP) or value added sales experience strongly preferred.
60 - 80% travel required to support sales territory.
Working knowledge of products, markets and applications is required.
Demonstrations of consistent sales growth experience.
Changes in technology, applications and sales trends require the individual to strive to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current technology and strong business acumen.
Position requires excellent selling, teamwork, negotiation, organizational, communication and computer skills.
Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, assertiveness, and results orientation. High level of energy and commitment.
