About the Role
The Transaction Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting the IPB US Transaction Services manager in providing banking and operational leadership for the IPB US business. The Principal purpose of the position is to lead the Wire Processing team in leading, executing and processing of daily client wires submissions with quality standars, meeting Service Level Agreements and management of the wires queue while meeting IPB Tampa Operational procedures which are in alignment to the Citi Manual Payment Processing policy. In Addition will provide leadership as meeded for planning,training, organizing,operation management, capacity planning and managing risk.
The Transaction Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring specific procedures are developed and implemented within the unit to ensure routine and effective compliance with the intent of Citi Manual Payment Processing Policy which governs Manually Initiated Funds Transfers. All processes and procedures must meet the minimum standards expressed by the Citi Manual Payment Processing Policy which governs Manually Initiated Funds Transfers.
Must assess any unique circumstances, client relationships, and processes within their units and decide whether any additional controls are warranted. Cost and risk associated with the transaction must be included in evaluating all solutions.
Main area of responsibility is ensuring the daily queue is managed by meeting client service level agreements as mentioned above. Including Wires approval, other Financial Transactions approval and work queues to assist and be a back-up manager as needed ( Tax Certification process, Financial Transaction, Citi Financial Services daily settlement, GEB Corporate billing process, Rate Maintenance Process, Guaranteed Exchange Rate Transfers, Third Party Collateral Process and Regulations E letters). Each manager is responsible for one or more area, and is expected to supervise or contribute to all areas. The Operations Transaction Services Supervisor will ensure the BAU work is processed in a timely, efficient, and controlled environment according to the IPB Tampa Operations Business’ regulations and to the external and internal SLA’s. Also responsible for presenting quality metrics of completion of work to senior management.
IPB U.S. Operations Transaction Services Supervisor role is to be well versed in IPB Tampa Operational Wires Process procedures which are alignment to the Citi Manual Payment Processing Policy, and is responsible for ensuring the unit’s procedures are compliant and updated timely if needed. He/she is also responsible for reviewing the workflow to analyze efficiencies and eliminate blockage within the process flow. Must have knowledge of the various systems utilized within operations and know how these systems are interconnected. Also need to work closely with MCA, Compliance and Internal Audit on all reviews regarding wires and other Financial Transaction processing for IPB Tampa Operations procedures.
Responsible to reconcile daily work and review discrepancies.
This position also include the management of employees including coaching/counsel the staff on appropriate actions, training, provide feedback and review sessions.
As an officer, this role is to initiate, lead, and contribute to projects outside of daily transactions processing. These projects are designed to improve the business’ value by cost reduction, process improvement, risk mitigation, and improvement of client experience. Projects will involve multiple departments, divisions, or countries. Must understand the scope as well as the dynamic of these projects, as well as visualize the end result. These projects are assigned at the manager’s discretion, and the tracking and review of each project is measured individually. Also has the responsibility to present project results to senior management.
Must solve problems by considering courses of action only constrained by organizational practices and policies or managerial direction. He or she may consider whether new procedures may have to be developed to achieve required end results.
Maintain BRPs (Business Recovery Plans) updated as well as Crisis Management plans and complete deliverables for COB testing.
Develop and maintains BRPs to identify resources and services that are required by the business unit during a Business Interruption.
Conduct due diligence to understand recoverability of third-party service providers in conjunction with supplier relationship managers and adjusts planning accordingly.
Monitor and update approved CoB tools with relevant BRPs, documents and information.
Prepare the BIA according to CoB Policy and Standards.
Coordinate and performs Testing of BRPs and CMPs for their respective CoB Entities.
Ensure any non-compliance is documented and resolved in a timely manner.
Perform and documents test preparation, testing, and post-test activities.
Participate in the training activity as required by the CoB Policy and Standards.
Conduct Denial of access test (DOA) in select recovery and BAU locations yearly
Banking or wires processing experience preferred.
Microsoft Excel, preferably experience with data analysis such as PIVOT tables.
Microsoft Word, preferably experience with review of client communication.
