Seeking an attorney with experience working with HR/Employment matters. This role will be a member of NFP’s Legal Department with the primary focus being to help and assist NFP’s Legal and Human Resources Departments with the drafting and execution of employment-related documentation including onboarding, and separation agreements. The candidate will also be expected to help out in other areas of the Legal Department as needed which will include general contract review for the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Assist in the drafting and review of employment agreements for NFP new hires & internal promotions including offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, non-solicitation & non-compete agreements, etc.
Provide expertise on labor and employment related matters, including, but not limited to, human resources issues, wage and hour law, workers’ compensation, immigration, unemployment and other state agency claims, labor relations, employee benefits, and FMLA matters.
Develop best legal practices for employment onboarding/separation procedures.
Review and execute other contracts in support of the business.
