Job summary
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly financial controls including rate variance analysis and producing the quarterly infrastructure capital budget related to server and network rack amazon controlled components.
Own the quarterly budgeting and planning processes for rack amazon controlled components including enhancing existing modeling and partnering with business teams to improve rate inputs.
Develop new analytics solutions to allow for improved business decisions and continued collaboration with key business stakeholders.
Continuously improve and/or redesign the amazon controlled components monthly processes to improve controllership.
Define better business processes, standard operating procedures, and work cross-functionally with our Supply Chain and Hardware Engineering to implement business improvement.
Improve procurement processes, supply chain processes, and controls by collaborating closely with our internal customers and our external suppliers who manufacture our infrastructure equipment and conducting analysis, and providing recommendations for improving procurement/ supply chain processes, controls and reducing infrastructure cost.

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance organization supporting the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. You should be comfortable with the detail and be able to connect it to the big picture and communicate the story behind the numbers.
- MBA degree with a major in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or Operations/ Supply Chain
- Experience in Finance, Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain
- Familiarity with computer hardware and global supply chain
- Creative and proactive problem solver
- Strong controllership focus
- Ability to manage projects with multiple teams
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Experience writing narratives / documents for leadership and program management experience
- Knowledge of Tableau Desktop, SQL and Alteryx Designer
