Rivertap Restaurant and Pub is now hiring a Chef and Assistant Kitchen Manager to its location in The Dalles, OR. The Rivertap kitchen team has been creating delicious food for ten years and is continuing to innovate using fresh, local foods to serve its strong local and regional customer base. We have established a culture of quality and creativity in our kitchen. Come join our team if you can:

  • Manage daily flow of kitchen to perform high volume output; 20 minute top ticket times.
  • Coordinate kitchen flow for all shifts. Flexible schedule to support training of line cooks.
  • Shift leader for improving operational efficiencies by controlling food waste, portioning, labor costs and other operating costs. You will become our “Bottom Line” expert.
  • Driving the excellence of our food quality by managing the quality of the supplies, ingredients, recipes, and driving consistency with the kitchen team.
  • Assure housekeeping on all levels are on a strict schedule for cleaning, organizing, and administration of the kitchen and office work.
  • Hold others accountable to the same performance that you expect of yourself.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

+2 years of cooking experience and or a culinary degree.

+1 years of management experience.

Basic computer skills and use of word and excel.

Solid understanding of Cost of Goods and pricing.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
