Our office in Seattle is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. In particular, we need someone to:
Design HVAC systems for telecommunications facilities, data centers, and other commercial buildings.
Maintain strong, long term ongoing relationships with our Telecommunications Clients.
Manage mechanical equipment replacement projects and participate as part of multidiscipline design teams in larger complex commercial projects.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in our quality control process.
Manage a portfolio of projects beginning to end. This includes writing fee proposals, leading the design work, stamping the work, managing the client, construction administration, tracking project financial performance, invoicing, and project closeout.
To succeed in this role, you need to meet the following basic requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Current Washington State Mechanical PE and/or NCESS licensure are required. Oregon and Alaska licensure would be ideal.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for commercial facilities. The ideal candidate would have technical knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, fans, pumps, air handlers, refrigerant piping design, commercial building controls, and energy codes.
Experience managing large commercial projects and mentoring junior staff.
