Partnering with statewide efforts to improve safety, communication and knowledge of effective strategies to reduce disease transmission as well as implementation of isolation and quarantine practices, CSU is looking to hire several Contact Tracers. These are temporary, on-call (PRN) positions with a one year engagement expectation and possibility to extend based on need and funding availability. Evenings and weekends may be required. These part time positions will require 10-20 hours weekly.
The Contact Tracer focuses on engaging students and employees that have or may have been exposed to an infectious disease, particularly COVID-19, and advising and/or linking them to support services that enable a safe CSU campus, student and employee success. The Contact Tracer communicates with students and employees who are diagnosed with COVID-19, documents all contacts of the identified persons and proceeds to establish and maintain on-going communication with every contact. The incumbent must follow set scripts and adhere to policies and procedures provided by the CDC, ODH and CSU. This position supports the isolation and quarantine of individuals, as appropriate in cooperation with the local health department. These duties include virtual needs checks and referral to community resources as needed.

Must demonstrate a basic understanding of the infectious disease COVID-19 and will be required to complete relevant job training on the topic.
Excellent judgement, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with a diverse population are critical in this role.
Ability to manage and maintain confidential and private information;
Successful candidates must have the ability to learn new systems quickly and enter data thoroughly and accurately.
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
Associates degree or equivalent experience
2 years professional work experience
Ability and willingness to follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19 personal and workplace safety, including wearing PPE.
Previous healthcare experience
Fluency in a second or multiple languages
