Role: SENIOR WIRELESS ENGINEER

The Senior Wireless Local Area Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for performing security testing and documentation for enterprise clients

Responsibilities:

  • Perform wireless LAN analysis to determine security strengths and weaknesses via comparison to enterprise best practices particularly around PCI, and PCCI environments
  • Experience using wireless planning site survey tools and analyzing collected wireless LAN data to determine wireless ranges, WAP security settings, and rogue WAP detection
  • Experience using WLAN monitoring tools, configuring for specified alerts and interfacing with designated trouble ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
  • Familiarity and experience performing design, implementation, supporting, and monitoring of wireless local area networks and all components
  • Experience configuring WLANs and related components to maximize security and performance understanding of interrelated effects; thorough understanding of various industry standards
  • Responsible for the delivery of Technical Solutions Documents for performing security testing and analysis of all aspects of wireless local area networks
  • Provide operational support for complex, wireless network deployments
  • Assist in the development of high-level and low-level design activities

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years' experience in a LAN, WAN, WLAN network engineering
  • Must have RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills
  • Must have design, implementation and operational experience with Enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches
  • Extensive hand experience in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/af
  • Knowledge of the SDN space, specifically within WAN, Branch, Data Center and Orchestration.
  • Familiarity with automation and basic scripting knowledge using Python, Perl, PHP or any other language is a plus.
  • Strong preference given to team members with proven experience implementing and stabilizing early adopter technologies at scale
  • Strong documentation and communication skills a must
  • Desired Skills: Wireless Experience, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE (Nice to have)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • High degree of initiative, dependability and the ability to work with little supervision
  • Willingness to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
