Summary- This Parkview Summer Internship Position will provide the student an opportunity to engage in experiential learning in the Community Health Improvement Department. This intern will work with the community benefit manager and other team members regarding all aspects of the CHI function for a non-profit health system. This intern will work on tasks related to the triennial community health needs assessment, annual community benefit reporting as part of the tax return, the hospital’s grant application review process, community educational outreach and programming. Primary projects will include developing a plan for packaging, communicating and educating co-workers regarding CHI and community benefit efforts.
Program timeframe and requirements - The Parkview Summer Internship Program duration is from May 26, 2020 to July 31, 2020. Qualified students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in a Public Health, Public Policy, Community Health, or related program and available to work 32 hours a week during the program duration.
