Director of Tax Operations

Role Summary:
The Director of Tax Operations is responsible for all aspects of tax operations and technical tax accounting for GE Digital. The Director will partner with the GE Digital Finance functions (including Global Ops) and external advisors. The Director will also partner closely with tax colleagues within Digital and Corporate Tax.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead tax operations within GE Digital including tax financial planning & analysis, controllership, accounting and reporting, and global tax compliance
Advise GE Digital Senior Management on matters effecting ETR, cash flow, etc.
Advise Tax Leaders in GE Digital on tax operational implications of all matters within their area of responsibility
Partner with Business Finance and Corporate Tax teams to ensure the Tax quarter close process and related tax accounting activities (e.g., annual return to accrual & deferred tax analysis) and U.S. /local tax reporting processes meet both business and Corporate requirements
Facilitate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational and transactional processes impacting Tax
Review financial analysis of tax balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes
Work cross functionally and across teams to drive tax compliance

Qualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 8 to 10 years of tax experience in major accounting firm or multinational company

Desired Characteristics:
Masters of Taxation and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification
Demonstrated tax accounting experience
Knowledge of U.S. tax rules (international and domestic)
Experience in tax accounting principles (ASC 740, Fin 48, Sox 404)
Proven project management and coordination skills
Demonstrated strong communication skills
Ability to work cross functionally
Prior experience leading tax controllership and managing tax compliance
Strong technical tax expertise
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
