Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and test innovative optical and electromechanical equipment for specific customer needs in a broad variety of applications.
- Develop designs and engineering specifications, prepares a design layout of the components to be developed with a CAD-based design package; ensures proper review of the design layout with appropriate personnel.
- Facilitate improvements in electronics/electro-mechanical equipment to include conceptualization, development, simulation, technical documentation, and analysis.
- Support creation of equipment requirements and designs based on customer and sales input.
- Contribute to engineering specifications and effectively communicate design and specification to sales, customers, and engineering.
- Conduct verification/validation tests for electro-mechanical equipment in a lab environment by using standard electronic test equipment.
- Utilize design software tools for analysis, schematic capture and board layouts of electronic systems and components.
- Serve as technical support in execution of assigned engineering activities.
- Participate in design reviews with internal and external teams to meet product specification and cost requirements.
- Develop project schedules for design and development.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure deadlines are met for specific projects.
What Is Required for this Role:
- BS in engineering, applied physics, and/or equivalent
- Demonstrated direct experience pertinent to power electronics, preferably 5 years of experience on electrical systems and components in product development
- Familiarity or experience with high voltage power supply design topologies such as Switch Mode Solid-State and Ferro-Resonant preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge about RF (preferably microwave) measurements and testing (e.g., determining integrity, crosstalk or coupling) in RF systems
- SAP experience a plus
- Strong Time Management and effective communication skills
- Able to work and adapt to fast-paced and changing work environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
