Klondike Electric Bicycles is a small family run business in Skagway, AK. We are fast-paced, engaging and customer-centric. Our priority is to provide an excellent and safe experience for our guests while they visit Skagway.
Position will start May 2025 - October 2025
Duties:
- Conduct guided tours of various locations, providing visitors with information and insights about the site's history, culture, and significance.
- Develop and deliver engaging presentations to educate visitors about the attractions and points of interest.
- Answer questions and provide assistance to ensure a positive visitor experience.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with visitors.
-Assist with cleaning bikes and rental cars upon their return.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to tour participants.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the site's history, culture, and attractions.
- Ability to engage and captivate an audience through storytelling and presentation skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle visitor inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Flexibility to adapt to different tour groups and adjust content based on audience needs.
- Time management skills to adhere to scheduled tour times and ensure a smooth flow of activities.
-Applicants must either already have or be willing to be certified in First Aid and CPR training through an accredited training program such as American Red Cross, or American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills
- Strong customer service experience
- Effective time management abilities
- CPR Certification
- Proficiency in teaching or guiding individuals
- Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Leadership skills are advantageous for this role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
