Compensation: $110,000 to $125,000 + 20% target bonus

Previous experience within an industrial/manufacturing setting as a product manger

Job Summary: The Product Manager – Food, Beverage and Specialty Industrial will be accountable to grow top and bottom-line results in line with company targets across North America for the rapidly growing Food, Beverage, and Specialty business unit. This position would put you at the forefront of several strategic growth initiatives, providing extensive exposure to executive and senior leadership throughout our organization as well as to suppliers and customers. As a Product Manager, you are a key part of the team with the opportunity to contribute to and shape our ongoing growth strategy. Extensive knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing processes and food, beverage and specialty industrial packaging applications is required to succeed in the role.
Job Duties:

Partner with the Sales VP to drive accountability for results across functions, using key performance metrics, as defined by the team and executive leadership.

Manage 1-2 pricing analysts.

Define short- and long-term product line strategy to deliver top and bottom-line growth in collaboration with marketing.

Collaborate with key functional leaders across operations, supply chain, sales, customer service, marketing, NPD, and finance to implement the product line strategy via key projects and programs.

Define and proactively manage value-based pricing strategy and daily execution of quotes via pricing team. Adjust tactics to meet changing market conditions and balance revenue growth and margin expansion.

Provide daily management support to sales and customer service by driving internal action items to resolve customer issues and accelerate new business closes. Participate in weekly sales pipeline calls to identify barriers to growth and actively work to remove them.

Manage the day-to-day business processes, including approving exceptions to MOQs, inventory, rush order and pricing policies / guidelines, for the product lines. Track exceptions and quantify financial impact to drive improvement. Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to improve business processes and our customer experience.

Analyze profitability monthly, identifying and driving near term actions to improve results.

Support quarterly forecasting and annual business planning processes.

Manage all customer contracting and proposal activities including drafting, analysis, recommendation, and approval management.

Monthly report out on progress vs key metrics to executive leadership

Provide monthly update on strategic inventory needs to meet market expectations for lead-time. Collaborate with supply chain, finance and operations to meet inventory targets on DSI without impacting customers.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

10+ years as a Product Manager or related experience

Extensive knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing processes and end markets such as food, beverage and specialty industrial packaging

Effectively synthesize and communicate analyses in writing (presentations, memos)

Limited domestic travel required (<10%)
