Attorney (Part Time) - Remote Working

The attorney is responsible to assist the General Counsel with their duties and functions. The attorney will work directly with the General Counsel on all projects and duties as assigned.

Assist in negotiating terms for, and assists management of; contracts, third-party agreements and vendor or partner relationships. Review, draft and manage variety of legal agreements, including; client, partnerships, supply, and development or counsel on other complex agreements, as needed.
Assist with preparation and filing of immigration documents.
Assist with Company’s debt collection practices for outstanding accounts receivables.
Assist with organizing Company Intellectual Property, including but limited to, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets.
Assist with managing the Company’s physical facilities, including assistance determining whether there necessitates a change, and in negotiating lease terms.
Responds to inquiries from regulatory agencies, customers and the business community.
Develop internal policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support the acquisitions and corporate development initiatives, including applicable agreements and operational functions.
Participates in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs.
Performs any and all given tasks as requested by Company’s executive.
This job is part-time with no more than 20 hours expected in a given work week. The duties are expected to be performed within the employee’s home or personal office environment. Further, the employee may be asked to operate in a professional office environment as needed. A home computer (Mac or PC), personal cell phone, and a high speed internet connection all owned and managed by the employee are required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours, or as required. This position does not contain any benefits of any kind, including health or retirement.
Travel is not expected for this role
Required Education and Experience
Candidate must be a licensed attorney within the United States.
Document review and contract negotiations experience is a must.
Background in immigration and or mergers and acquisition preferred
Exceptional judgment and creativity, with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice appropriately weighing legal and business objectives
Entrepreneurial mindset; flexible, self-starting and hard-working
Deal-focused with a sense of urgency to get things done
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple urgent projects concurrently
Effective at managing project expectations, reporting to upper level management, and managing escalations of legal and business issues
