JOB SUMMARY
This position supports treatment-related training and manages the treatment fidelity program to accountability courts.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Sets program goals and provides leadership. Supervises and supports assigned staff.
- Serves as an agency treatment subject matter expert.
- Conducts accountability court fidelity site visits. Develop reports based on fidelity site visits.
- Reviews assigned staff reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and procedures; provide feedback and reviews changes.
- Researches, designs, develop, and manage updates to treatment fidelity policies and program materials based on best practices.
- Provides ongoing research-based assistance to all accountability court staff, including judges, coordinators, and treatment providers.
- Develops and conducts training, including training and orientation for new judges, coordinators, and providers.
- Collaborates across CACJ departments.
- Serves as primary staff to the Treatment Committee; develops materials and coordinates and facilitates meetings.
- Provides support to CACJ committees as directed.
- Collaborates with external stakeholders, including the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities, Georgia School of Addiction Studies, the Georgia Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board, and the Georgia Department of Community Supervision.
- Supports the annual training conference to include assisting with agenda development and speaker selection.
- Assists the Director of Technical Assistance with special projects.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Director of Technical Assistance assigns work in terms of department goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, reports, and observation of department activities.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include the Council of Accountability Court Judges standard operating procedures, rules, and standards; Administrative Office of the Courts Human Resources Policies; ALL RISE Best Practices; HIPAA regulations; ADA regulations; the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics; and Georgia Composite Board for Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists rules and regulations. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
- The work consists of varied management, administrative, and supervisory duties. Strict guidelines and standards contribute to the complexity of the position.
- The purpose of this position is to manage the provision of treatment services training and support accountability courts throughout the state. Success in this position contributes to the success of those courts in the provision of treatment services.
CONTACTS
- The contracts are typically with other agency staff, court treatment providers, judges, representatives of other agencies, and members of the general public.
- Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, to provide services, to motivate or influence persons, or to justify, defend, or negotiate matters.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table.
- The work is typically performed in an office.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
This position has direct supervision over assigned personnel within an area, department, or unit. Direct supervision typically involves the ability to manage schedules, performance, and the interpersonal issues of other employees. It may involve the ability to recommend changes to work priorities or strategies within an area, department, or unit.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate degree required (Master’s degree preferred); and
- At least four years of related experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the knowledge,
skills, and abilities to perform the work.
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification required and/or Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Direct accountability court experience and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI), Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), Thinking for a Change (T4C) (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional job-related experience, which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Prgm Consultant 3 (SSP042) or position equivalent.
