Responsible for all camp operations. Leads and directs the supervision of campers and staff in all daily activities and operations. Manages the camp facility/site development, customer service needs and programming to ensure a quality camp experience. Responsible to monitor all resources in order to work within the designated budget. The candidate is a highly energetic leader. They possess good communications skills both written and verbal. They are able to supervise, coach, delegate to, and discipline staff they supervise to ensure a safe and enriching experience for every camper. They are a good listener, solutions oriented, and able to create and execute a plan for any assigned projects. They possess the ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders in order to ensure the longevity and growth of the program.
Responsible for maximizing camper enrollment to ratio capacities.
Provide leadership for staff team in order to ensure the quality of all aspects of the camp program.
Conducts staff training and meetings.
Ability to multi-task at a very high level, with the capability of executing each task in a timely manner.
Involved in all aspects of customer service.
Reports to work on time and in uniform for all scheduled shifts.
Other duties as assigned.
Manage a camp enrollment of 30-300 campers, supervise a staff of 5-70 staff, and be responsible for monitoring a portion of the total budget including payroll and program supplies. Willing to work at multiple camp locations within the same region.
Accountable for completion of assigned goals as measured by the number of people served, cause driven measures, service satisfaction scores, operating results, and supervisor evaluation of assigned duties.
Must complete all training and attend all planning meetings as assigned.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, engage and participate in all camp related activities with campers (swim, sports, crafts), work in extreme outdoor weather conditions (sun, heat, rain) and in various environmental conditions (woods, beaches, fields, streams, nature trails).
Accepts that quantity of work hours scheduled weekly will fluctuate between 0 and 40, and may include nights and weekend hours.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physically able to successfully complete required job functions, including use of hands, arms, fingers, able to talk and hear, use a computer, sit and stand, enter all YMCA environments (office spaces, indoor and outdoor maintenance/mechanical areas, fitness areas, pool and pool space, camping areas, unimproved outdoor locations and other program areas).
Attends all training and meetings within the designated time frame.
At least 25 years of age.
2 years experience working in a youth summer camp program.
1 year experience supervising others.
Familiar with ACA and DHMH regulations and requirements.
