Summary:
Collaborate with Executive Chief Office, Community Leaders, and staff. Maintain community knowledge on pertinent issues which may impact the organization and the surrounding communities. Work as a liaison with all the sites to ensure communication and unison of internal and external efforts and activities. Oversee all social media networks regarding NAICA.
Responsibilities:
Direct of Intergovernmental & Community Affairs is responsible for, but not limited to:

Develop relations with all local community government offices/representatives

Outreach to all community organizations to develop relations and maintain open communication

Plan in-house monthly Advisory Council meetings
-
Develops and implements opportunities to create positive relations by educating, supporting, and assisting NAICA and the community at large
-
Acts as a conduit to establish direct relationships with outside resources and the facility staff to ensure continuous guidance and support to meet expected goals
-
Acts as a point of contact in resolving controversies within the community surrounding the facility
-
Makes public presentations representing good neighboring strategies in the neighborhoods with a concentration of the facility

Available to attend appropriate meetings for NAICA, including, but not limited to Advisory Council, Town Hall, Community Leader events, Community Boards, Police Precinct Council, Job Fairs, and/or The Chamber of Commerce

Assists with the development of long-range goals and objectives of NAICA

Carries out additional projects as directed by the Chief Executive Officer

Skilled in working with different groups/teams as to maintain order, cleanliness of area/equipment, and uphold discipline within the groups/participants

Prepare and submit reports regarding all meetings, activities, and community relations matters

Responsible for overseeing all areas of social media associated with NAICA. In addition, work interactively with the Information Technology unit and Human Resources to ensure all social media information is current. Report all infractions, necessary updates and/or corrections to IT and/or HR

Responsible for maintaining all social media communication and information up to date
Public Relations:

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

Bachelor's degree in business management, public relations, marketing, physical education, or 8 years of work-related experience Associates degree in business, community relations, or management or 4 years of work experience
