POSITION: Infrastructure Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Baxter & Woodman Water Resources Department has a rewarding opportunity for a Infrastructure Project Manager in our Crystal Lake, Mokena, Naperville, or Chicago, Illinois offices. The Infrastructure Project Manager focuses on stormwater management planning and design, as well as general municipal civil engineering projects, and is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects. This is a design production-focused role, overseeing engineering services.
POSITION DUTIES:
Lead preparation of complete design documents (Plans, Specifications, Estimate of Probable Costs)
Design of municipal of stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, green infrastructure, etc…).
Design of municipal water distribution systems and wastewater collections systems
Permitting with local, state and federal permitting agencies
Assigns tasks, schedules, and budgets to project team members and coordinates project scheduling
Conducts internal project meetings with the project team and status meetings with clients to discuss tasks, schedules, and budgets
Is responsible for completing each project on time and within budget. Regularly monitors project schedules and budgets throughout the duration of the project
Assures that a QA/QC review is completed at appropriate stages of each project
Prepares the scope of services, detailed project budgets, and contracts
Is responsible for determining if a contract needs to be amended
May serve as the client’s primary contact for assigned projects
Makes presentations to clients
Markets the firm’s services to clients
REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. degree in civil engineering
Project Management of linear infrastructure (sewers) required
P.E. license required
Project management experience preferred
Strong technical skills in a wide range of civil engineering topics
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
Business Development experience preferred
Working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic computer modeling, GIS, and CADD software
Understanding of sustainable design elements as they relate to stormwater best management practices preferred
Must have the ability to travel throughout southern Wisconsin and the Chicago area (own transportation)
