Located in a city known for its rich technology and innovative leadership, our Boston Research Center sits adjacent to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The center conducts research in computational reservoir modeling and nanotechnology and develops advanced materials science and separation technology systems.

Basic Function:
Responsible for the day-to-day support of all ITD-supported systems and services. Address all incidents and service requests in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform all IT support functions designated by the supervisor
Follow up with end users to ensure they are provided with optimum service, take corrective action to resolve problems, and escalate issues to other groups in IT when required
Work closely with other Aramco Services Company (ASC) and Saudi Aramco groups to coordinate plans and activities including forecasts of future equipment, services, and budget requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field required
BSET or four (4) years technical training or military training and ten (10) years’ experience implementing Local Area Networks required; one to three (1-3) years of recent experience in supporting a diverse computer & communications infrastructure preferred; may consider candidate with high school diploma who demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned job tasks which typically is gained from fifteen years of combined directly related experience and technical training
CCNA or equivalent certification strongly preferred; candidates with experience implementing and administering VOIP and high-availability telecommunications systems are highly desired
Experience with managing help desk or field service environments preferred
Experience with ITIL-based record keeping preferred
Experience with Microsoft System Center Suite highly desired
Experience with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
Ability to install software using Linux package management systems and configure from source code
Experience with cluster deployment tools (HP Insight CMU preferred)
Experience with managing an HPC cluster and Linux workstations
In-depth knowledge of workload management tools (Moab/Slurm/Torque)
Demonstrated ability to create and deliver business and technical presentations
Thorough knowledge of computer, communications, and networking engineering, operations, and technical practices
Must be able to work independently and provide a high degree of customer satisfaction
Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined
Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
