SPERRYPHOTO/VIDEO STUDIO POSITION

Job Description:
1. Still image post-production and file management. The studiogenerates a great deal of still imagery that requires varying degrees of post-production. Files, including those created off- site, must be tracked from capture to final delivery to a variety of DAM sites and servers. Applicant must be able to work collaboratively to troubleshoot any file management issues and will be responsible for managing data along with files.
2. Video shooting and editing. There will be an occasional need for video capture. There will be extensive video editing needs for original footage as well as video assets collected from outside sources.
3. Assist and digital tech for lead photographer on larger shoots. Strong digi-tech skills are required. Capture One is the primary software for tethered shooting, raw file processing, and file management. File and folder management is of the utmost importance. Experience as a photo assistant both in-studio and on location is essential. A solid understanding of studio product and still-life lighting is required.
Must have advanced/expert skills in the following applications:
Mac OS
Photoshop
Capture One
Lightroom
Premier Pro and/or Final Cut
Microsoft Office Suite (familiarity)
Sperry is a highly energetic company with a fast—paced environment and an enthusiastic and dedicated workforce. There are two employees in the photo/video department responsible for handling a very high percentage of the company’s imaging needs and file management.
The applicant must be able to work quickly and efficiently, be comfortable shifting gears rapidly and, following an appropriate initiation period, work independently with little oversight. Projects coming into the studio can vary wildly in their complexity and production level with equally variable deadlines. The applicant should be able to stay calm and focused while working under multiple deadlines and managing a diverse set of tasks.
An upbeat demeanor and a can-do attitude are crucial. Must play well with others.

This is an Independent Contractor position with 4 days per week expected.
