Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. This role requires a strong background in psychopharmacology and the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to evaluate mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Manage psychopharmacological treatments, including prescribing and monitoring medications for psychiatric disorders.
- Provide case management services, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program with a focus on psychiatric-mental health nursing.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
- Proven experience in psychiatric nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment while maintaining strong communication skills.
