The Operations team at Techstars is looking for an Operations Specialist - Accelerators to join our team. As an Operations Specialist you’ll help scale and further operationalize ongoing programs of work and be responsible for implementing new projects and initiatives used by Techstars mentorship-driven accelerators worldwide. You will lead internal efforts to coordinate stakeholders and help us level up support systems that are important to Techstars’.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing new processes and have a desire to tackle new problems. They will feel comfortable understanding the big picture objectives and executing on the details while keeping stakeholders informed. The individual will also have experience working with distributed teams and is comfortable with virtual communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support program staff and improve the founder experience by expanding and operationalizing ongoing projects;
Translate ideas and needs for support into new processes across Techstars mentorship driven accelerators by updating documentation,
Track and manage key program operations activities
Provide support for all Techstars facilities globally, including ensuring consistent experience and brand guidelines are met at locations, through systems for planning office visits
Liaise with Accelerator Program Staff and Accelerator Management as needed on regularly occurring in-program support
Own coordination with other departments on products and projects impacting program staff such as supporting new market expansion and the Techstars Meet and Greet program
Proactively create, document, and manage repeatable processes with cross-functional teams working with Program Staff
3-5 years experience in project management or knowledge of project management policies and best practices
Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize organize and collaborate, especially on multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and ability to easily communicate complex changes or details in simple, compelling language
Creative problem solver who is interested in understanding different points of view and new ways of approaching problems
A proactive learner with an innate interest in streamlining, improving and optimizing systems
Flexible and adaptive, able to provide additional support on one-off projects and work with other departments as well as rapidly shift between goals as needed
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
