Creekside Behavioral Center is a 72-bed psychiatric treatment hospital specializing in adolescents, adults and aging adults opening October 2018. Located in Kingsport, TN, this state-of-the-art facility underscores our commitment to individuals and families seeking support and treatment with debilitating psychiatric concerns.

We are seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses with mental health/ psychiatric experience preferred. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing we seek full-time LPNs who are committed to providing excellence and who has a professional passion to complement our current team. The LPN is responsible for:

Applies professional nursing principles, procedures and intervention to the multidisciplinary treatment experience;
Observes and records patients’ behaviors and interactions towards prescribed treatment goals
Works collegially with medical staff, licensed therapist and other assigned professionals in helping patients achieve their therapeutic goals
Provides patient education and consultation with parents/care givers
Participates in patient assessment with RN and interprets patient's needs from admission through discharge planning including periods of crisis and stabilization
Administers prescribed medications and maintains medical records and clinical documentation
Prepares individualized treatment plans and documentation within the patient's record

Education & Experience:
Current, unencumbered TN LPN license
Prior experience within a mental health setting preferred
12-hour shifts, days or nights
Selected candidates are adaptable to changing circumstances, self-disciplined in temporarily stressful situations, and have an unwavering commitment to excellent patient care!
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
