About the Role
Join the leader in professional audio, video, lighting and control, and help us design and develop the next generation of cutting-edge software. Our Professional Solutions Division is seeking an experienced and innovative Product Manager who will be responsible for the definition, development, management, and execution of software as it relates to our configuration, control and monitoring of HARMAN products.
What You Will Do
As a Product Manager, Software HARMAN Professional Solutions, you will help lead product development and management efforts for specific applications within a software suite. You will also drive cross-functional teams to bring new products and features that will be used every day, by AV professionals all over the world.
You will work closely with our engineering and UX design teams to deconstruct problems into actionable items and assist in creating an execution plan and keeping teams on track.
The position will have several responsibilities and the authority for making decisions as described below:
Drive software product development with engineers, UX designers and hardware product managers.
Responsible for developing the multi-year roadmap for the software platforms associated with next-generation audio, video & control systems for Professional Solutions.
Manage a global team across the lifecycle of a software product including Requirement Management, Design, Development, Testing, Integration & Release Management.
Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, product specifications, and feature requirements.
Gather market research for new/existing software and monitor and report on the current global competitive landscape
What You Need
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience leading cross-functional and cross-company teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines.
A strong storyteller and public speaker in front of large, senior groups.
Knowledge of audio signal processing and audio technologies.
What is Nice to Have
Practical experience in large-scale performance audio systems is highly desirable.
Experience delivering consumer software and (hardware) products with a focus on SaaS.
Familiarity with agile software development practices such as scrum.
Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, JIRA, WebEx, and Confluence.
Familiarity with user testing and prototyping paradigms using tools such as InVision, Sketch, and Framer.
Passionate about building digital products.
Experience within live audio is highly preferred.
What Makes You Eligible
Willingness to travel domestic and international 10% of the time.
Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA, or Richardson, TX.
Able to successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
