We have an excellent opportunity for a Support technician supervisor. This position will be based at our headquarters in Ashburn, VA. The successful candidate will answer user questions via telephone concerning hardware trouble calls and advise on system problems.
Serve as lead for a team that provides technical assistance to computer systems and other technical products and services.
Assist in implementing policies and procedures to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner.
Assist Customer Support Manager with personnel activities (i.e. training, documentation, schedules shifts, manage ticket queues and phone queues, metrics, escalations).
Provide hardware & software customer support via telephone and email in a Call Center environment.
Enter commands via “remote desktop” and observe system functions to verify correct system operation.
Load specific software packages such as hardware drivers and custom application software onto PC computers.
Track issues to resolution.
Escalate problems as required to appropriate support teams.
The ability to operate current Windows operating systems, such as Windows 7 and Windows 10 plus installation and support is preferred.
An active DoD Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain. Preference will be given to those applicants with an active DoD Secret Clearance
High School Diploma is required
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in technical support
Must have experience providing user assistance with computer hardware and system support problems. RAPIDS or DBIDS experience a large plus
Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required
A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
