We'll look to you to keep your finger on the pulse of emerging product trends, drawing on your involvement with associations such as CSI, RCI, BEC, SWA and USGBC to position yourself as the subject matter expert on architectural calls and technical seminars. Relationship building is at the heart of this role and you'll leverage your interpersonal finesse to instill confidence in your capabilities and build trustworthy relationships with architects and consultants. You'll also communicate timely opportunities to technical sales, up-selling and cross-selling other products as needed, to help us meet our revenue objectives.
To be a strong fit for the Architectural Sales Representative, BES opportunity, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Business. Architecture, Engineering or related discipline is required
Minimum 5 years related experience in construction/building science industry
Strong ability to effectively track projects through the specification and bidding stage, and to read and create construction details
Strong technical knowledge of commercial roofing/waterproofing/air barrier products and installations, including commonly accepted trade practices
Outstanding communication and presentation skills (including active listening) and the ability to build working relationships across diverse stakeholders
Proven organizational and multitasking skills
A team player approach and the ability to be effective in a fast paced and highly dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools
Familiarity with Dodge or other construction bidding software
Active involvement in associations such as CSI, RCI, BEC, SWA & USGBC is required
Ability to travel as needed within assigned Bay Area territory
