Job Description: Issues residential permits, meter bags and dumpster permits; collect revenue for parking citations and permits by performing the following duties. Obtains information such as applicant name, address, and telephone number to record data for Administrative Review, Meter Reports and Residential Parking Permits on prescribed forms. Evaluates information collected to determine applicant qualification for residential permits. Collects fees for residential permits, meter bags, dumpster permits, standard City issued parking citations, standard issued MUSC parking citations, booted vehicles and towed vehicles.

Communicates with internal customers regarding permits, meter bags, dumpster permits and parking citations for accuracy in processing. Processes data obtained for Administrative Review, Meter Reports, Residential Parking Permits, Meter Bags, Dumpster Permits and Pods by documenting and coding information in Parking System database. Informs customers by mail or telephone daily with update on status of meter report or delinquent payment plan. Processes mail/telephone payments.

Maintains files and logs of permits issued both manually & electronically. Verifies boot fees for Parking Services via 3-way radio. Responds to inquiries regarding permit requirements and processes. Updates operational records and permit information, using computer terminals.

Prepares daily balances for bank deposits, contact dispatch for Police escort to make daily deposit. Answers telephone and transfers callers to appropriate parties; responds to questions and requests for information regarding fees and permits. Prepares files for Archives or destruction. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. $12.87 / Hour -
