-The Scheduler is responsible to coordinate and maintain scheduling for ARS staff


-H.S. Diploma or GED (B.A. preferred)

-Prior scheduling experience preferred

-Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, and scheduling software program

-Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

-Ability to carry out directions, read, and write

-A mature disposition and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job

-Must be able to work in a pet friendly environment


-Understands and adheres to established ARS policies and procedures

-Creates and maintains sufficient staff schedules to provide best coverage while minimizing overtime

-Schedules relief staffing for staff utilizing STO or PTO

-Collaborates with the Lead Trainer to schedule staff for training

-Enters scheduling data and approves all timesheets

-Ensures HR Director is informed daily of any deficiencies regarding the scheduling process and/or employee performance

-Schedules staff for additional shifts as necessary for client's emergent medical/behavioral needs

-Maintains all reports pertaining to staff's attendance and retention

-Performs general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, faxing, phone calls, sorting, and filing


-Works indoors at ARS office


-Reports directly to HR Director

-Scheduling Assistant reports directly to the Scheduler

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS (able to perform the following tasks if necessary):

-Participate in physical activity

-Work for extended periods of time while sitting, standing, and/or being involved in physical activity

-Moderate lifting, bending, and standing on a regular basis
