JOB SUMMARY: The goal of the Payment Posting Representative is to resolve outstanding patient balances while providing excellent customer service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Call patients before their scheduled appointments to inform them of their financial responsibility.
2. Understand insurance benefits and explain the benefits to the patient.
3. Resolve patient responsibility using methods that meet the financial needs of the patient while following company policies.
4. Document patients accounts accurately
5. Maintain a positive rapport with internal and external clients at all times.
6. Perform other duties and functions as directed and/or requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Excellent Customer Service skills
3. 1 – 2 years of patient/insurance Payment Posting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Through knowledge of AR collection approach
2. Practice Management system experience
3. Previous experience with e-Clinical works preferred
4. Bi-lingual a plus
INTERACTIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, contractors, etc. Must possess good organizational and analytical skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be able to work effectively with all levels of aforementioned groups in a fast paced and ever changing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Mostly a sedentary position that may require walking, sitting, bending, lifting and reaching at times. Requires full range of body motion including manual, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
