The Search Developer/Engineer plays a key role in the design, building, installation, testing and maintenance of bedbathandbeyon.com e commerce search software and/or hardware systems. As a member of the delivery team, he/she collaborates with Product Managers, Architects and Business Analysts in the breakdown of features into requirements. He/she delivers high-quality software using approved BBB frameworks, data storage, and any other appropriate technologies.
Plan, design, develop, test, debug, and deploy requirements commensurate to your experience
Expertise in more than one search engine technologies search as Solr, Fast, Endeca
Lucidworks Fusion Solr knowledge to build Index and Query stages
Continue to tune the search results to deliver most relevant results to end user by applying multiple strategies
Understand and able to articulate internals of search engine related to query, indexing of catalog and other related data
Develop and or review code with Java, Scala programming and multiple scripting languages
Break down complex requirements into independent tasks and strategies
Actively looking for ways to make everything better
Experience working in modern delivery methodologies
Own your impact working with designers, peers, product managers and other work streams to release features
Continuous expansion of skillset; ability to expand on relevant languages

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline
Ability to provide strong technical leadership; Must be able to articulate technical ideas to a non-technical audience
Solid communication skills to diverse teams- onshore and offshore
Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor, and work well independently is essential
Expertise in search engine domain
Experience in iterative and/or agile, scrum development
