The successful candidate will partner/coach/support Program Managers, Capture Managers and program teams in Schedule Optimization techniques, including facilitation of MPS and/or IMS development and optimization and Critical Chain deployments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead schedule optimization, improvement and acceleration engagements using techniques such as critical chain, and partner with planners on schedule development for IDS program teams as well as subcontractors.
Support development and deployment of standard processes and approaches, and advocate for their use.
Work with teams through the process of selecting the appropriate approach and correct methodologies to use for compliance and effective management and acceleration techniques for their programs overall.
Engage quickly and drive initiatives to completion from the initial request for support through transition of completion artifacts and ownership to the planner and program team
Listen, respond and facilitate discussions appropriately to and between others and to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, across functions and among diverse teams.
8 +years of professional experience in Technical Planning, Program Management and/or Program Planning & Scheduling
Experience leading a team of planning/scheduling professionals
Microsoft Project Server experience
Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
Direct experience leading planning effort on a program with external EV reporting and DFARS EV clause invoked
Direct experience with DCMA and JSA audit
Direct experience with integration of subcontractors and operations into program plans, schedules and financial tracking.
This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Demonstrated customer facing experience in leadership role
Six Sigma Certification
Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
Experience in using MS Office suite products
Ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
Knowledge and experience in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
Knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS)
Ability to deliver customer focused solution
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or related STEM field of study, Master’s degree a plus.
