Provides leadership in designing and implementing fund raising strategies and programs. Cultivates and stewards relationships with donors and sponsors. Works with Board of Directors and the Development and Stewardship Committee of the Board.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs and implements major gift, mid-level and annual donor fundraising programs including donor and prospect development and solicitation in coordination with Executive Director. Assigns duties as appropriate to Development Officer and support staff.
Develops yearly fundraising strategies, sets annual goals and maintains fundraising activities calendar, in coordination with Executive Director
Develops annual budgets for areas of responsibility
Helps to identify planned/estate gift prospects among donor base
Coordinate and facilitate Development Committee agendas in consultation with the Executive Director, including Board education
Responsible for design and directs implementation of donor stewardship activities including recognition devices, donor societies, printed recognition and donor impact reports. Assigns duties as appropriate to Development Officer and support staff
Oversees event planning – Mayfaire, We Care We Share, and other events and activities and directs the Special Events Director.
Responsible for sponsorship solicitations
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
7-10 years of direct fundraising experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Word and Excel and Raiser’s Edge.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, Board members and other stakeholders while providing leadership in these relationships.
