Due to steady growth, our client seeks to appoint a Channel Manager to further drive the Company’s profile and activities in the marketplace to ensure maximum return, and continue in shaping the company's ongoing future direction.

As Channel Manager, you will oversee and have responsibility for U.S. Law Enforcement and Military business segments. You will drive overall business strategy and implement key objectives to build the brand and overall results. Working closely with Engineering on Product Development for market demand, you will also conceptualize, develop and initiate multi-faceted programs and promotions that are aligned with key sales, marketing and brand initiatives. The right candidate will be a dynamic leader and strategic thinker with a strong background in the firearms/shooting sports industry along with proven sales and marketing acumen to help shape the future growth of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of company strategies as they align with the channel goal
  • Be a resource for our customers and act as a business consultant by giving them the tools needed to succeed
  • Identify promotional opportunities, plan and execute development of product solutions to secure those opportunities
  • Take lead sales role in all line reviews and account presentations
  • Train sales representatives for execution of product plans, merchandising and associate training
  • Manage the requisition for proposal process and work with key company stakeholders for successful quotes
  • Interface with the various internal and customer departments to ensure flawless operational support
  • Identify effective product mix and work with main buyers to develop sales strategies for LE channels
  • Develop and work with inventory team to maintain rolling 12 month forecast for channel needs
  • Identify successful product strategies and work with Product Development teams to develop impactful NPI and product concepts
  • Identify products to target for replacement and develop transition plans
  • Plan and attend Law Enforcement specific trade shows and events

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or work experience equivalent
  • Related, successful LE channel management experience, including agency bids and sales
  • Handgun experience strongly preferred
  • Industry knowledge, combined with the enthusiasm to drive the company’s further success in being a true business partner with current and future Customers
  • Strong analytical and financial skills required with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to successfully interface with operations, customer service, logistics, product development and quality departments
  • Frequent travel required (+30%) including occasional international
