Full Job Description
Support innovative government-run research and technology development in radio frequency (RF) photonics and antenna design as a technical consultant. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers while conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility and the defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government R&D efforts. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts that develop novel technologies or applications for high-bandwidth radar and microwave communications. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients.
2+ years of experience with research related to RF and microwave photonics and antenna engineering
2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to commute to Arlington, VA
Ability to obtain a security clearance
PhD degree in Engineering or Physics
2+ years of experience as part of a team that developed RF photonic components and technologies
Experience with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) theory or systems
Experience with defense research and development
Knowledge of RF or microwave photonics, antenna theory, and related technologies
Ability to demonstrate excellent organization and client service skills
PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred
