Sr. Analyst –
Planning: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
Vans – the global icon of creative expression in youth culture – has been curious and fearless since 1966. As a member of the Supply Chain Retail Operations Department, The Retail Supply Chain Sr. Specialist will work directly with the Sr. Manager – Supply Chain DTC to perform analysis in support of the company’s inventory optimization, service level and speed-to-market goals and strategies. The role requires retrieving, summarizing and analyzing large production data sets to help measure the results of existing projects and evaluate scenarios for projects under consideration. This role will act as a link between the operations, retail, and eCommerce organizations to ensure accuracy and translation of data between systems and processes.
How You Will Move the Needle:
Collect relevant data from multiple internal sources. Ability to query data from Island Pacific, SAP, PkMS, RDW, JDA and other systems. Development of Alteryx and Excel-based inventory and supply-chain network models to inform strategic decisions on service (in-stock) vs. cost (inventory carrying costs, parcel shipping cost). Maintain VF Direct to Consumer Product Flow model templates and version publication to all support brands and regions Work closely with Customer Service, Production, Distribution, Sourcing & Logistics to complete weekly reporting Responsible for communication of KPI analysis and improvement plans Work on management sponsored projects and/or process improvements projects including business case & ROI analysis. Responsible for monthly inventory reporting analysis across 3 countries supporting the supply chain and retail monthly cycle
Desired Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum 3+ years of related experience in Supply Chain or related field
Educational/ Position Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics or equivalent with strong data analysis skills
3 years’ experience in Retail, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent
Proven Excel skills in using VBA, macro creation, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Index and advanced nested formulas.
Experience with large data set analytic software i.e. Alteryx, Oracle Advanced Analytics, or other similar programs. Ability to build moderate to complex simulation models in advanced analytic software and drop into excel to run what-if analysis.
Attention to detail and quality—must rigorously check own work for accuracy
Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to create executive presentations in PowerPoint for review with all levels of executives.
Excellent communication (oral & written) skills
Ability to work independently
Advanced Excel and Data Analytics skills
SAP system experience a plus
Ability to support a team for any meetings or special projects
Operates with discipline
