The Environmental Manager directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental programs and remediation projects at Client facilities. The Environmental Manager will advise the JLL management team on all environmental, remediation and indoor air quality (IAQ) issues, evaluate potential environmental and occupant impacts, conduct incident investigations, and ensure JLL is compliant with all EHS regulatory and Client requirements.
Provide day-to-day environmental compliance, indoor air quality (IAQ), remediation oversight, and H&S related support and guidance to site teams to maintain to comply with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Coordinate/support and track response to routine and emergency air quality (IAQ)/mold/environmental events across the portfolio.
Coordinate/lead the development and implementation of key environmental initiatives, perform environmental audits/inspections, and ensure appropriate environmental programs across client sites.
Maintain liaison with client EHS organization to ensure that EHS problems are identified and solutions coordinated – especially those dealing with emergency events that require remediation.
Ensure the tracking and reporting of EHS metrics and measure performance against key performance indicators. Establish necessary plans to meet or exceed key performance indicators and execute on those plans.
Develop appropriate policies, procedures and programs for JLL activities and monitors environmental/remediation status and compliance to reduce risks. Ensure environmental policies and procedures are developed, updated, implemented, and followed.
Continually evaluate hazards with respect to JLL scope on client sites for environmental risks and coordinate/advise on appropriate controls.
Ensure training programs meet OSHA, EPA and company compliance requirements. Be actively involved in new hire safety orientation, curriculum development, needs assessment, training material development, and completion tracking.
Manage/support illness/injury reporting system, maintain OSHA logs, and support Claims/Workers Compensation processes.
Maintain a collaborative partnership with Client EHS organization.
Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives necessary to foster a strong EHS culture. Expertise in environmental compliance as well as general industry safety compliance required.
Assist in the assurance of compliance with internal and client related audit programs and expectations.
- Degree in environmental science, industrial hygiene or relevant field.
- Prior environmental consulting and project management experience strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of EPA/state environmental regulations as well as asbestos/mold remediation required.
- CSP, CHMM or other relevant professional certifications a plus.
- Proven record of success with project management skills for balancing multi-site activities.
- Experience with critical facilities, data center, UPS issues, highly desired.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- A proven record of making presentations and providing effective training.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Occasional travel (10-25%)
