Provide basic accounting and administrative support to the accounting department. Examples of support are keeping and verifying transaction records; computing and verifying amounts, processing department mail and preparing correspondence.
$19.24 - $21.06 hourly
Responsibilities:Assist with any of the following:
Trust account deposits
Processing open contracts
A/P, A/R and commission processing
Responding to routine questions
Process department mail, answer phones and direct callers, order supplies and prepare routine correspondence and generate reports.
Verify and enter data, review documents for completeness and maintain electronic and paper files.
Prepare bank deposits
May verify amount of earnest money check to the contract; cancel files and refund earnest money in a timely manner; update computer for tracking of files.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management.
Perform responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners.

High school diploma or GED.
Two-year accounting degree helpful.
1 to 2 years accounting or administrative support work.
10-key experience required.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong figure aptitude, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest.
Strong calculator and computer skills including Excel.
Detail oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines.
Problem solving abilities.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
