We’re looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and talented communications professional with experience handling both internal and external business communications. We don’t have a traditional corporate title structure, but this position is Manager-equivalent and reports to the Head of Corporate Communications. You’ll be part of building a refreshed brand identity for a 129-year-old firm that is in growth and evolution mode. The ideal candidate will be eager to tackle the challenges of developing and managing high-quality content designed to build brand recognition, enhance reputation, and increase employee engagement.
This position oversees the day-to-day operations of corporate communications, ensuring the company’s messages are consistent and engaging. Main duties will include creating informative content for stakeholders across multiple internal and external channels. The role requires a high level of writing skill, attention to detail, organization, the ability to independently and proactively manage projects and problem solve, and the ability to work in a high paced environment. Duties will be diverse and multi-faceted with frequent interaction with senior leadership, therefore excellent professional skills are vital for this role. The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications is a must.
Develop material for our website, intranet and LinkedIn page while ensuring a consistent, engaging and fresh company image.
Develop and review Google Analytics reports, SEO efforts, and necessary changes.
Develop and implement internal communications content that engages and inspires employees.
Research and write press releases and fact sheets, draft media statements, answer media inquiries, monitor media coverage and develop and implement a media outreach strategy.
Provide proofreading and editing support for digital and print collateral with advanced skill
Project manage internal and external communications campaigns.
Develop, implement and maintain the company brand program and associated assets and materials.
Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas in line with the company’s strategy.
Support crisis communications planning and response activities.
Collate analytics and metrics across multiple internal and external channels.
Work closely with freelancers.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English or similar.
A minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role.
Must have excellent writing and editing skills (writing samples are required).
Excellent creative writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Well-rounded in social media and website content management
Experience developing content strategies and create targeted content.
Experience with Google Analytics.
Experience in media relations and/or crisis communications.
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
Strong time-management and organizational skills. Superior project management and time management skills.
Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
A detail-oriented problem solver with a solution-based approach to customer service.
Basic creative design experience.
