National Grid isexcited to offer paid internships that will offer you a wide range oftechnical, managerial and operational opportunities for summer 2019. Theseopportunities will help you gain valuable insight into National Grid as well asthe Energy/Utility industry as a whole, all the while helping you build yourprofessional network.

Starting May/June 2019through August 2019, spend a summer as a GRIDtern and help advance your skillsthrough a first day Orientation Session, hands on projects within yourdepartment, volunteer opportunities, field/work site visits, networkingsessions (Lunch & Learns, etc.) and much more.

Detailedresponsibilities will vary depending on your course of study and assigneddepartment. Internship departments may include but are not limited to:

Compliance & Permitting

oAssist with tasks to ensure compliance with federal, state, andlocal environmental regulations such as those governing site clean-up and wastemanagement.

oConduct field work to collect data to help facilitate theenvironmental licensing and permitting of new utility infrastructure.


oProvidesupport writing energy/environmental/climate policypositions

oPerformanalytics on National Grid’s waste reduction initiative and assist in employeeoutreach and engagement to increase awareness in proper waste disposal. Someinterstate travel will be required.


oAssistingwith regulatory research & filings.

oParticipatingin evaluation studies of our NY energy efficiency programs.

Authorized to work in the United States for the entire duration of the internship
Registered in school as a full time student
