The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for supporting the Store Manager and District Manager in the execution of the entire store’s operations. The ASM is also responsible to meet performance and profit goals. These objectives include assisting in the selection, development and training of all team members in the store. The ASM ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our vision to become fast and casual “to go” with world class convenience.

Essential Functions

Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance for team members in all areas of the store.
Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer complaints or inquiries.
Solicit customer feedback, input and information through various communication vehicles. React to information and create a plan to consistently meet the expectations of all customers.
Manage matters relating to team members and the store team - recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, team member engagement and performance management.
Ensure the planning and execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures and practice.
Analyze results and trends and prepare action plans to leverage the store's strengths and address areas of opportunity. Ensure the execution of all action plans.
Ensure future growth by executing a defined strategy to deliver the long range plan.
Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities of team members to meet the needs of the business.
Conduct competitive fuel surveys and complete bank deposits as required.
Knows, follows, and enforces all state and local laws regarding lottery, cigarettes and alcohol sales
Maintains professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.
Maintains professional communication and demeanor with vendors, team members and guests.
Assist in vendor check-in, ordering, and merchandising enhancements by having properly faced and readily available products for our guests.
Ensure compliance with corporate training programs through RTO tracking.
Cross trained in Team Member functions and responsibilities.
Responsible to assist Store Manager with P&L and budget.
Cross trained in Operational and Kitchen responsibilities.
Assist and collaborate with Store Manager the consistency application of counseling and disciplinary actions.
Strong commitment to team work while being flexible and adaptable to change.

Desired Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Desired Degree
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred.

Desired Job Experience

2 years of leadership experience required, preferably in a retail or convenience store environment.
Ability to learn and utilize the store's computer applications required.
Exceptional customer service, superior relationship building and strong leadership skills required.
Highly effective written and oral communication skills required.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks for team members.
Experience, skills and abilities consistent with Core Values and Leadership Competencies
Certifications Required

Valid State Driver's License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation is required.
Serv Safe/Other State or County Certifications within the first 90 days of employment.
Other Qualifications

Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
