Job Description
The National Sales Representative will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales of this established third party logistics provider. You will actively pursue new business, generate leads, qualify leads and assess shipping needs, resulting in opportunities to provide truckload transportation services. Once opportunities are identified, the National Sales Representative will be responsible for facilitating and negotiating pricing, coordinating account start up, communicating with customers on issues that require escalation and conducting regular business reviews with customers. Your Long-term goals will include ongoing new business development, account volume and margin growth, and cross selling software and consulting opportunities.

Background Required:
Proven Record of Success in OTR (Over the Road) Transportation
Third Party Logistics/Freight Brokerage or a Truckload Sales (5+ years)
Computer literate (Office 2000 suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
Education: 4 year Bachelor's degree (i.e., Business, Logistics or related discipline)
Travel: Up to 75%

Background Preferred (but not required):
Thorough knowledge of services (i.e., Distribution, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, 3PL)
Understanding of Technological Systems (i.e., WM, TMS, ERP)
Knowledge of Contact Management Programs (CRM)
