Full Job Description
Work cooperatively with all staff to deliver education services relating to math instruction of students. Engage the learners in differentiated learning experiences appropriate to their skill levels and development needs. Encourage students to think independently and express original and creative ideas. Participate in parent math activities, which promote math practice at home. Attend and participate in building and distirct meetings, as required, including PLC team meetings. Members can serve during school hours, after school and during Super Saturday
Member Duties : Members will be trained to use intervention software (Dreambox and GoMath) for math students. AmeriCorps Member will tutor students who are below 1-2 grade levels. · Each Member will be assigned to a math teacher and/or Interventionist at 1 of the 3 middle schools where they will work until the end of the academic school year. · AmeriCorps Members will utilize the Math Lab period to offer individualized support. AmeriCorps members to pull out students who are still struggling with the basics. AmeriCorps will run a Super Saturday Math Club to invite all students dedicated to support and connect math students, increase support academic and non-academic services. These students need more individualized assistance. Assist middle school students transition to high school.
