NBT Bank's Human Resources Department is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing payroll for our entire employee population.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process timecards/timesheets for payment (both data entry and verification).
Input of all payroll data into the HRIS/Payroll system (exempt and non-exempt employee payroll, bonuses, stock awards, etc.).
Process special payment batches (i.e., commissions, payouts, severance, retro, etc.).
Research and assist employees with payroll questions.
Preparation and distribution of bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports.
Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory reports.
2 year degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:
Accounting experience (working with general ledger and account reconciliation).
Proficiency in MS Word & Excel.
Prior payroll experience, preferably with an employee population greater than 300 people.
Prior experience with ADP is preferred.
