The Senior Marketing/ Proposal Coordinator, an integral member of the Jacobs’ Sales Team, drives strategic pursuits and helps build relationships with our core clients. Our Senior Coordinators play a key role in sales by working closely with operations and other sales staff to create strategically focused, professional-looking business development documents, such as proposals, presentations, and statements of qualifications. The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and demonstrates responsibility for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinate and develop proposals and other sales documents using applicable tools, guidelines, and templates

Manage the proposal process by developing and implementing proposal directives and other opportunity response plans, as well as by monitoring progress

Organize and participate in response-related meetings (internal and/or client), as appropriate

Develop draft sections of sales documents, including original writing, that communicate Jacobs’ value and support sales messages

Proofread and edit technical and non-technical proposal sections for accuracy and consistency

Provide basic graphic design and desktop publishing, and work with graphic designers to develop complex exhibits

Conduct appropriate internal/external research and respond to internal requests for information

Develop new or update existing sales qualification materials for current and future pursuit efforts

Participate in internal business development activities as appropriate


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, marketing, communication, technical, or other related field

At least 7 years of similar, previous experience in the engineering, architecture, or construction industry is required

Strong organization skills; able to manage multiple, simultaneous projects, and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting

Strong research and market analysis skills to facilitate development of optimal communications pieces

Self-starter, able to work both independently and in a team environment

Recent/current experience using Adobe Creative Suite is preferred

Proficiency with InDesign is preferred
