Cleveland Clinic Innovations (CCI) is the commercialization arm of Cleveland Clinic. CCI turns the breakthrough inventions of Cleveland Clinic employees into patient-benefiting medical products. The creation of new business opportunities allows CCI to deliver Cleveland Clinic's unique capabilities into the commercial market, while aiding in the economic growth of Northeast Ohio and beyond. CCI facilitates an inclusive entrepreneurial environment where innovation is fostered as an activity in which all can participate - physicians, nurses, researchers, administrators, etc. CCI's comprehensive approach includes sophisticated deal teams, domain experts, investment funds, executives-in-residence, allied investors, seed and technology validation funds, preclinical and prototype facilities.
While working closely with department representatives, participates in a structured learning experience. Performs a variety of administrative tasks and works on various projects. Interns will take an active role in developing content and campaigns supporting the work of Cleveland Clinic Innovations through video production, animation, and graphic design.
This internship will be from August/September 2019 - December 2019
Researches, compiles, tabulates, and analyzes data and processes for a variety of administrative and departmental matters.
Assists department personnel in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical, and professional tasks.
Provides suggestions or recommendations with regard to department specific projects.
Prepares and presents reports; drafts policies and procedures; responds to requests for information.
Other duties as assigned.
Current college enrollment required.
Interested Majors to include: Cinematography/Film, Media, and Marketing/Communications
Complexity of Learning Experience:
Can discuss and weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues.
Can make definitive choices, expresses opinions on issues and can explain logical path decisions.
Video production, animation and graphic design experience preferred
Requires full range of body motion including handling/lifting items, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires frequent standing and sitting.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
