JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for directing, coordinating and implementing all aspects of
the sales and marketing program, consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the
community. Responsible for selling independent living and assisted living units,
managing and motivating the sales staff and developing a culture in which all staff is
part of the sales and marketing team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Participates in the research, preparation and writing of the department budget and annual marketing plan.
- Operates the department in accordance with Community policies and within budget guidelines.
- Fully executes sales and marketing strategies as outlined in the annual marketing plan.
- Meets sales activity and sales ratio goals as outlined in the annual marketing plan.
- Meets sales and move-in objectives as outlined in the annual marketing plan.
- Directs and executes all aspects of community independent living and assisted living unit sales.
- Manages all information relating to the professional handling of prospective resident/inquiry: communication with administration and accurate documentation of all contacts in the leads tracking system-Welcome Home.
- Interacts with other departments, assuring that apartments are properly prepared for move-in; keeps all pertinent parties apprised of move-in dates and possible adjustments.
- Prepares and maintains accurate and timely records, analysis and studies as required.
- Keeps updated about relevant, operational, competitive, and company information.
- Staffs the office during business hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- Selects, trains, evaluates and disciplines all marketing personnel.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans public information programs and carries out such programs by working with corporate marketing communications department.
- Plans and arranges for open houses, publicity brochures and displays, soliciting the cooperation of community staff and residents in these efforts.
- Addresses civic organizations, businesses, and service organizations, representing the community in such activities.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively.
- Must be an effective presenter with both large and small groups.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to guidelines related to the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in all aspects of the job.
- Skill in use of computer software including MS-Word and Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two years sales and marketing experience in the senior industry or related experience.
- Previous management experience.
