About the Role
The HR Operations Associate is responsible for administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations, including serving as the primary owner of the organization’s HRIS/HCM (Ceridian Dayforce). The HR Operations Associate serves as key support in the successful execution of Noble’s semimonthly payroll, quality benefits administration, and broader HR operational needs in support of Noble’s 1,400 employees.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee and maintain the optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users, as well as serve as subject-matter-expert on the HR/Payroll team.
Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users
Compile or assist with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff. Serve as a lead representative and liaison between HR, information technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects
Collaborate with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements to HR systems; recommend and implement solutions
Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group benefit plans
Provide data entry and quality assurance support to the Senior Payroll Specialist on semimonthly payroll processes.
Lead communication and workflow improvements between the HR Generalist and HR Operations teams to ensure nearly error-free processing of payroll
Execute large-scale organizational HR projects (e.g. open enrollment; end-of-year personnel updates, etc.)
Serve as a key operational support and team member on HR and broader initiatives across the HR, employee engagement, and talent acquisition teams as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience
1-2 years of experience and demonstrated success in an HR and/or payroll setting
Bachelor’s degree, including evidence of academic success
Experience with HRIS/HCM administration; Ceridian Dayforce system experience a strong plus
APHR+ certification and/or similar evidence of a commitment to HR content mastery a strong plus
Proficiency in Excel, including experience working with large data sets

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with an expected workweek of minimally 40 hours per week from Monday through Friday. Additional time will correspond with large projects and important deadlines as needed to deliver strong results. Flexibility of schedule may be discussed with the Director, Human Resources.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Local travel to Noble’s various Chicago campuses may be required (limited, less than 10% annually).
