Manufacturing Engineer II
Tasks & Responsibilities
Sustaining engineering function is responsible for supporting production activities in the medical device industry including yield improvement initiatives, product disposition, continuous improvement activities, assembly procedure development, and process validations. Additional responsibilities will include the transfer of new products and processes into manufacturing, process development, mistake proofing, process risk analysis, design reviews and provide input on design for manufacturing.Duties and Responsibilities: Support and lead continuous improvement activities and yield improvement initiatives.Develop and implement production processes.Support production on non conformances, determine root cause and develop solutions.Write and execute process validations.Write technical reports.Develop tooling and fixtures to support production.
Lead projects with some supervision.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:Experience with CAD, Solidworks/ PRO-E a plus. Knowledgeable of drafting and properly formatting of engineering drawings.Operating style: Self starter, hands on, direct and clear communicator, honest, genuine, confident and secure. Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills.Experience:2-5 years’ experience as a manufacturing or mechanical engineering in the implantable medical device industry.Education & Training: BS Mechanical engineering or related Science with Masters Degree a plus
